Course Content:

The VTCT Level 2 Certificate in Barbering covers a broad range of topics essential for any aspiring barber. Key modules include:

- Health and Safety in the Workplace, Barbering Tools and How to use them: Learn the importance of maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for both clients and barbers. Learn everything there is to know about the tools you will be using and how to properly maintain them.

- Client Consultation for Hair Services: Master the art of effective communication and consultation to understand and meet client needs. Gaining a core understanding of barbershop hairstyles and what to look for in preparation for your cut.

- Shampoo, Condition, and Treat the Hair and Scalp: Gain proficiency in hair and scalp treatments tailored to different hair types and conditions.

- Cutting Men’s Hair: Develop fundamental skills in haircutting using the world renowned D.F.S Formula™️ alongside many other techniques in order to become barbershop ready.

- Cutting Facial Hair: Learn to expertly shape and trim beards, mustaches, and other facial hair. Learn the fundamentals of shaving, including preparation, process and aftercare.

Assessment:

The final assessment will be an EPA observed by a qualified tutor and externally verified.

Duration:

The course is typically completed over 18 weeks, Sundays & Mondays from 10am till 5pm.
